Titles Queensland

Our lodgement services are evolving

Supporting your titling experience by enabling you to lodge with us from anywhere.

Titles Queensland is evolving our lodgement service offerings. We are closing our Brisbane-based drop box service and introducing Titles Electronic Drop Box (TED), a new online lodgement channel in addition to our two online lodgement channels for professionals, eLodgement and eConveyancing. TED enables online requisition return and provides access for self-represented individuals to securely lodge with us from anywhere.

What’s changing?

  • From 20 July 2026 we are expanding online lodgement channels to self-represented individuals to cater for common single-party dealings via the Titles Electronic Drop Box (TED).

  • After 4:00pm 4 September 2026 Titles Queensland closes the Brisbane office drop box.

  • Online convenience: Requisitions for paper and eConveyanced dealings via email and return through TED.

Brisbane office drop box closure FAQs

The drop box was a Brisbane-based facility that was established in 2020 as a COVID-safe drop off point for paper dealings.

This change supports Titles Queensland’s continued growth of secure lodgement options and subsequent reduction in the use of paper-based channels by:

  • Giving all customers the same lodging experience
  • Supporting a smoother customer experience through streamlined online lodgement channels

Your lodgement options are available to view on this page.

To view original wills or book our settlement space after 4 September 2026, please contact us. No access will be allowed without prior arrangement.

No, the drop box is not the same as a lodger box. The lodger boxes were an alternative method for receiving paper notices and documents from Titles Queensland’s Brisbane office.

The lodger boxes are closing on 31 July 2026. Lodger box owners were notified on 13 March 2026.

Documents you’ve prepared for drop off can still be lodged with Titles Queensland via the following channels:

  • eLodgement (professional customers only)
  • Titles Electronic Drop Box (from 20 July 2026)
  • Post

You will receive an email with an overview of your lodgement details. Please ensure your lodger details are completed and correct, including your email address.

If sending by post, you will receive a lodgement summary via email once we’ve received your dealing. Be sure to consider Australia Post delivery timeframes.

No, this change only affects how Titles Queensland receives your dealings. Our processing times are unchanged. If sending by post, be sure to consider Australia Post delivery timeframes.

Titles Electronic Drop Box (TED) FAQs

TED will have 8 dealing types available for lodgement:

  • Form 4 – Request to Record of Death
  • Form 14 – Change of Name (Individual)
  • Form 14 – Change of Name (Company)
  • Form 14 – Correction of Owner Details
  • Form 14 – Correction of Company Name

  • Form 5/5A – Transmission by Death (Grant Issued)

eLodgement accepts more dealing types and can be used by property industry professionals who regularly lodge documents with Titles Queensland. Find out more about eLodgement here.

TED is designed for use by individuals who are self-representing, to lodge a limited selection of single-party dealings.

Professional lodgers must lodge mandated instruments via eConveyancing as the primary lodgement channel, unless a valid exemption applies.

If eConveyancing is not suitable, eLodgement should be used as the alternative.

The requisition notice will advise how your dealing is to be returned.

Where the return method differs from the original lodgement method, this will be clearly outlined in the notice.

TED is powered by Titles Queensland’s Automated Titling System, the same system which has kept the Titles Registry secure since 1994.

No, you don’t need to sign up or create an account to use TED. You will be asked to verify your email each time you lodge via TED.

Property industry professionals regularly lodging documents can sign up to eLodgement to manage their dealings.

There is no additional cost to using TED.

Standard lodgement fees associated with your dealings still apply.

TED accepts credit card payments.

During the lodgement process, you will be directed to our secure payment portal to pay for your transaction.

No – the lodger will be prompted to review their lodgement before finalising their submission in TED.

Using TED will allow you to lodge a dealing or return a requisition directly into our system, removing any delays associated with post. Our standard client service timeline for correctly lodged titling instruments is five business days.

Yes – our processing times have not changed.

All requisition enquiries and extension requests must be emailed to [email protected] using the Requisition Enquiry template to outline your request.

No, TED is a web-based service that can be accessed through a standard web browser on your desktop, tablet, or smart phone. To submit documents, we recommend using a scanner to create clear digital copies.

TED accepts PDF and TIFF file formats only, with a maximum file size of 15 MB per file.

All original documents (including supporting evidence) MUST be retained after submission.

Titles Queensland will never ask you to destroy original identity or supporting documents (such as passports, driver licences, or marriage certificates).

No. Only requisitions you receive after TED is launched can be returned via TED.

Dealings that can’t be lodged in TED must be lodged through one of our other lodgement channels. You can view our lodgement options on this page.

TED allows a maximum of 3 dealings to be lodged at a time.
