236 – Land Title Practice Manual update published 28 April 2026

The LTPM has been updated and is now available on our website.

The updates incorporate changes in the Trusts Act 2025 and take effect today (Tuesday 28 April 2026).

The updates include:

• new requirements when recording more than four trustees on title; and
• no limitation on the term of a lease granted by a trustee.

A summary of all updates are available on our website.

Form updates

The following forms have been updated to reflect changes in the Trusts Act 2025:

• Form 4 – Request to record death; and
• Form 20 – Trust Details Form.

We recommended using the updated forms, available via the Forms page on our website for all future lodgements.

However, we will continue to accept previous versions until further notice.
