231 – New Form 7 – Lease & Land Title Practice Manual (LTPM) update

The LTPM has been updated, and the Form 7 (version 8) published.

Form 7 (version 8) now available

A new version (version 8) of the Form 7 is now available for download on the Forms page.

The new version of the Form includes:

• additional space for executions; and
• changes to Item 9 statements to clarify the process of dealing with previous leases.

LTPM updates published 17 September 2025

The LTPM has been updated and is available on our website.

The primary update relates to Part 7 – Lease/Sub lease and reflects changes to the statements which appear in Item 9 of the form and provides further guidance on their use. It also introduces the new version of Form 7 – Lease/Sub lease (version 8), and an updated Form 20 – Lease Declaration.

Changes to leasing practice

Form 7 (version 7)

From Monday, 27 October 2025, any Form 7 (version 7) must be accompanied by a Form 20 – Enlarged panel.

The Form 20 – Enlarged panel must include Item 9 from Form 7 (version 8) as in the template available here.

Form 20 – Lease declaration

From Monday, 27 October 2025, the updated Form 20 – Lease Declaration with the new statements must be deposited with any previous versions of the Form 7 – Lease/Sub-lease (version 6 or earlier).
